Diesel Fuel Spill

On April the 9th at 9:47 PM, the Mont Belvieu Fire Department was toned out to a diesel fuel spill in the Dairy Queen parking lot located at 9102 HWY-146. Engine-1 was first on location to find that an 18-wheeler pulling a frac pump trailer had torn a large hole in the trailers side saddle fuel tank spilling approximately 250 gallons of red off-road diesel on the ground. Monday Night Training

The Mont Belvieu Fire Department meets every Monday night at 7 PM for training. Every Monday night is a different topic. We train as we would work in an actual emergency. Tonight we did the walk through of the New Enterprise Products Administration Building on Eagle Dr. Then we reported back to the station to work on some new hazmat kits we received. Mont Belvieu Fire Department was called out to I-10 East at exit 799 for an 18 wheeler trailer on fire. Engine 1 arrived and had fire showing from under the trailer. Mont Belvieu Fire Department was called to an automatic alarm on Trinity Street. Upon arrival heavy smoke and flames were visible from a detached garage. Engine 2 made a fast attack keeping the flames from entering the breezeway and the house. Mont Belvieu Ladder 1 arrived to take over command and pump Engine 2.
